Martin Connors serves as a Canada Research Chair at Athabasca University. He carries on an active research program in several areas of geophysics and astronomy. He continues his work to enhance distance education in the sciences. Innovative methods that he developed in physics education have greatly enhanced Athabasca University’s profile in this field. His recent research has been in the areas of auroral geophysics, mathematical optimization techniques, asteroids, and instrumentation.
