Eva Pocurull obtained her Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the University Rovira i Virgili (URV, Tarragona, Spain) in 1996. She serves as an Active Researcher in the Chromatography, Environmental Applications Group at the URV. Her research focuses primarily on developing analytical methods to determine organic pollutants in environmental samples. Between the years 1996 and 1999, she has made three postdoctoral orders to expand knowledge in different analytical techniques subsequently applied to certain environmental pollutants determination. These placements were made in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the Vrije Universiteit (Netherlands), Department of Environmental Chemistry of the CSIC (Barcelona), and Gas Chromatography Department of Labor Official Kantonale (Switzerland). She currently works on various funded research projects that focus on the determination of pharmaceutical compounds in water (CTQ2008-00825, CTM2011-28765). She has 61 publications in international journals, relating to the determination of pollutants in certain environmental samples.
