Anatolii Polyanskii

Anatolii Polyanskii was born in 1944 in Novosibirsk, Russia. He graduated from the University of Tomsk in 1967 and joined the Institute of Solid State Physics (ISSP) Russian Academy of Science in Chernogolovka, Moscow District, Russia, where he was granted the Ph.D. degree in physics. Since 1993, Polyanskii has been with the Applied Superconductivity Center, University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wis, USA. In 2006 he moved together with ASC to the Florida State University and joined the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Tallahassee, Fla, USA, where he directs the Magneto-Optical Laboratory. In 1996 his work received the R&D 100 Award, for developing "magnetic Flux imaging system" on the base of iron garnet films. Polyanskii is mainly interested in magnetooptical imaging of magnetic flux in magnetic and superconducting materials.
