Sukh Mahendra Singh

Sukh Mahendra Singh is a Professor of immunology and animal cell culture at the School of Biotechnology, Banaras Hindu University, India. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Banaras Hindu University, India. He has been the recipient of INSA Young Scientist's Medal from the Indian National Science Academy. He served as an Assistant Professor at The University of Delhi and then as an Associate Professor and a Professor at the School of Biotechnology, Banaras Hindu University. He has been the recipient of internationally prestigious fellowships. His research area is tumor immunology. He has been investigating host-tumor relations in a lymphoma-bearing host, understanding the molecular mechanisms of immunosuppression, and designing immunotherapeutic strategies to retard lymphoma progression. His other research interests include gender dimorphism of tumor growth. For the last 20 years, he has been teaching immunology, animal cell culture, and cell biology to postgraduate students. He is on the Editorial Boards of Oriental Pharmacy and Experimental Medicine and BHU Journal of Science. He has been a member of many scientific bodies.
