Daniel Berrar
Daniel Berrar is a lecturer in the Systems Biology Research Group at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. He received his M.S. degree in medical informatics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, and his Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics from the University of Ulster in 2004. His research interests include systems biology, machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics, (cancer) epidemiology, genomics, proteomics, and life science text mining. From November 2008 to October 2010, he is on a leave of absence to conduct collaborative research as a Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science with Dr. Hiroaki Kitano at the Cancer Institute of JFCR, Japan.
