Maythem Saeed

Maythem Saeed, after receiving his Ph.D. in 1983 from the Department of Applied Physiology, School of Medicine, University of Freiburg, Freiburg im Breisgau, West Germany, he completed a one-year fellowship at the same department in West Germany. From 1984–87, he served as an Investigator at the Huntington Memorial Hospital and Institutions in Pasadena, Calif, USA. In 1989, he acquired a two-year NIH Fellowship in magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy. He served as an Assistant and Associate Professor of Radiology, Department of Radiology, School of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco, Calif, USA, from 1990 to 1997. Since 1997, he has been serving as a Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. He serves on the Editorial Board of several medical journals, namely Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Contrast Media and Molecular Imaging, and World Journal of Radiology. He is also Editor-In-Chief for the Chinese Medicine Journal. Moreover, he serves as a reviewer of more than 20 scientific journals. Saeed has publications of more than 200 manuscripts in international journals and 21 book-chapters. He received over 20 National and International Awards in the field of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging and 3 US patents.
