Gustavo Corach
Gustavo Corach was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1951. He received the degree of Licenciado en Ciencias Matemáticas and the degree of Doctor en Ciencias Matemáticas from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, in 1974 and 1979, respectively. After a Postdoctorate Grant by CONICET from Université de Paris VII between 1979 and 1981, he returned to Buenos Aires, where he got a position as a Researcher at CONICET, the National Council of Science of Argentina, and a position as an Assistant Professor at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He continues in both institutions as an Investigador Superior of CONICET and as a Professor at UBA. Since 1996, he is the Director of the Instituto Argentino de Matemática. He acts as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications and as a Member of the Editorial Board of the Revista de la Unión Matemática Argentina. He has published more than 90 research papers on functional analysis, operator theory, and matrix analysis.
