Bohua Sun

Bohua Sun received the Ph.D. degree from Lanzhou Uni, China, 1989. He is a Full Professor of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Head of Centre for Mechanics, Smart Structures, and MicroSystems (CeMiS) at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Cape Town, South Africa. He also serves as President of Association of Sciences and Technology for International Exchange of Guangzhou City, China. He was Postdoctor of Tsinghua University, Research fellow of TUDelft, Alexander von Humboldt Fellow of Ruhr University of Bochum, Research Associates of University of Cape Town, and Visiting Professor of University of Michigan, Columbia University, Shanghai University and Dean of International School, Jinan University, China. His research interests includes the solid mechanics, smart structures, combined structures, shell theory, microsensor and actuator, motion sensing, MEMS gyroscope, NEMS resonator, microbolometer, structural health monitoring, wood-plastic-composites, small UAV, and so forth.
