Mohamed Tawhid

Mohamed A. Tawhid got his Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, MD, USA, in 2001. From 2000 to 2002, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Management, McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada. Currently, he is a Professor at Thompson Rivers University, BC, Canada. He has taught numerical analysis, linear algebra, optimization, operations research, and operations management. His research interests include nonlinear/stochastic/heuristic optimization, operations research, modeling and simulation, social networks, and neural network. He has published in journals such as Computational Optimization and Applications, Journal of Optimization and Engineering, Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization, and Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computation. Professor Tawhid published more than 25 referred papers and 3 special issues in the Journal of Optimization and Engineering (Springer) and Journal of Advanced Modeling and Optimization. Also, he has served on the editorial board for several journals.
