Dongchun Liang is a Professor of molecular biology at Tianjin Medical University, Tianjin, China, where he has been since 2008. He also currently serves as Visiting Professor and Institute Scientist at the University of Southern California. Dr. Liang received his M.D. degree in 1998 and a Ph.D. degree in 2001 from Tianjin Medical University, China. From 2006 to 2008, he got his postdoctoral training at the Vanderbilt University, USA. In the first decade of his scientific career, his academic interest was focused on the field of molecular biology, including developing efficient nonviral gene delivery vector and cell signaling study. To broad his research repertoire, from 2010 he joined an immunological research team at the University of Southern California as a Visiting Professor. Due to his excellent research expertise and the contribution to the lab, he was offered a position as Institute Scientist.
