Osvaldo M. Querin
Osvaldo M. Querin was born in Argentina in 1964. He graduated from the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Sydney with a B.Eng. degree (Aeronautical, honors I class) in 1987, then in 1993 he was awarded an M.E.(Res) degree in the area of helicopter aerodynamics and in 1998 a Ph.D. degree in the area of evolutionary structural optimization (ESO). In 1997, he became a lecturer at the same department. In 2000, he started work at the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds and in 2003 became a senior lecturer. His research is in the areas of structural optimization and evolutionary methods. In 2008, he became a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
