Cüneyt Berkdemir received his B.S. degree in theoretical physics from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey, in 1999 and his Ph.D. degree in physics from Erciyes University, Kayseri, Turkey, in 2005. From 2006 to 2007, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Physics Department of Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, working on computational nanomaterials. He then pursued his research career at Erciyes University as an Assistant Professor and became an Associate Professor in 2009. Dr. Berkdemir moved to the Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA, USA) as a Researcher in 2009, and his current interests include the modeling of cluster-assembled materials, the investigation of gas phase clusters, electronic structures of clusters, and photoelectron imaging spectroscopy studies. He is currently one of the Research Fellows in the group of Professor A. W. Castleman in the Chemistry Department of the Pennsylvania State University.
