David B. Parker
David B. Parker has a Ph.D. degree. He currently works as a Professor and Director of the Commercial Core Laboratory, Palo Duro Research Facility at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Tex, USA. He recently completed a two-year appointment as a Research Leader of the Environmental Management Research Unit at the USDA, ARS, Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, Neb, USA. He also served as a Professor of environmental science for 13 years at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Tex, USA, holding the final rank of Professor of environmental science and engineering and the Director of the Odor and GC/MS Laboratories. Prior to his academic appointment, he served as a consulting environmental engineer in private industry for 7 years, working for large companies in Idaho and Washington. In his early career, he gained considerable research experience with erosion/sedimentation and soil/water quality. At the US Meat Animal Research Center, he focused on the measurement and abatement of odor, VOC, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and greenhouse gas emissions from animal feeding operations.
