Dieter Haemmerich
Dieter Haemmerich received his Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, Wis, USA. He is currently Associate Professor of pediatric cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC, USA, and Adjunct Faculty of bioengineering at Clemson University, Clemson, SC, USA. His research interests include thermal cancer therapies, biomedical instrumentation, measurement of thermal and dielectric tissue properties, and computational modeling of biological heat transfer problems, and targeted drug delivery (see http://ablation.musc.edu). He has coauthored around 60 peer-reviewed journal publications and four book chapters on these subjects.
