Eilís Dowd

Eilís Dowd undertook her doctoral research at the Pharmacology Department of Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Scotland. She received her Ph.D. degree in neuropharmacology, in 1999. She completed postdoctoral research in the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK, McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and Cardiff University, Wales, UK. Dowd serves as a Lecturer in pharmacology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland since September 2005. Her current research is focused on developing and validating novel pharmacological, cell and gene therapies for Parkinson’s disease in preclinical models.
