Debra L. Palazzi, holder of the M.D. degree, works as an Associate Professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, USA, and as an Associate Fellowship Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training Program. She received the B.A. degree in molecular biology from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA, and her M.D. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, NC, USA. She completed internship and residency in pediatrics at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, USA, and a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research interests include safety and pharmacokinetics of antifungal agents in pediatrics, antibiotic pharmacokinetics, invasive fungal infections in children, antibiotic stewardship, and medical education. She (co)authored over 45 original articles, abstracts, reviews, and book chapters. She has served as a Collaborator for The American Academy of Pediatrics Red Book and is on the Editorial Board of the Academy’s Pediatrics Review and Education Program (PREP).
