Lorenzo Granai
Lorenzo Granai was born in Siena, Italy,
on February 18, 1975. He received the M.S.
degree in telecommunication engineering
from the University of Siena, Italy, in 2001.
Since 2002, he has been a Ph.D. student
and Research Assistant at the Signal Processing
Institute, Swiss Federal Institute of
Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland.
In 2002, he visited the Multimedia Signal
Processing Laboratory, NTT DoCoMo, Inc.,
Japan, where he worked as a Guest Researcher in the area of video
coding. His current research interests are in signal processing, image
representation and coding, and approximation theory.
