Zidong Wei received his B.S, M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in 1984, 1987, and 1994, respectively, from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology and Tianjin University, China. After graduation, he joined Shandong University and then Chongqing University as a Professor in 2000 and currently is the Dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Chongqing University, and a Chair Professor of Cheung Kong Scholars Program, Ministry of Education, China. His research interests are focused on catalysis, especially electrocatalysis. He has published more than 100 papers in referred international journals and the recognized Chinese journals. His works have been cited over 1600 times. He has been granted 17 patents associated with catalysis. He has served as an editorial board member of 6 international and China-based journals.
