Antonio Bandera obtained his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Malaga (2000), Malaga, Spain, and he is currently a senior lecturer that has developed his research activities in the fields of computer vision, robotics, and pattern recognition. He has published more than 50 papers in international journals and has got more than 60 contributions on national or international conferences (h-index 13 (from 2009)). Bandera has been the main researcher of several projects funded by the Spanish Government, including integrated actions with the ISR of Universidade do Coimbra and PRIP of TU Vienna. He is the academic coordinator of an M.S. course on electronic technologies for smart environments, organised by the University of Malaga, and current coordinator of contracts with private firms in the fields of computer vision and robotics for more than 500k€.
