Vassil Dimitrov

Vassil Dimitrov has received his Doctorate degree in mathematics in 1995 from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria. He has held Postdoctoral position at the VLSI Research Laboratory, University of Windsor, Canada and Laboratory for Signal Processing, Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. In addition, he has worked as a Research Scientist at Reliable Software Technologies Corporation, Va, USA, from 1997 to 1999. From July 2001 until now, Dimitrov is a Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Calgary, Canada. His main research interests include the use of discrete mathematical tools in various applications such as cryptography, image and signal processing, and computational geometry.
