David Neumann received a B.S. degree (honors) and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Queensland, QLD, Australia, and a Graduate Diploma degree in higher education from Griffith University, QLD, Australia. He has held research positions at the University of Western Australia and the University of Queensland before obtaining an academic position at Griffith University. He has over 100 publications in the field of psychology, including those in the area of higher education and emergent literacy. His teaching practices have received recognition through a citation from the Australian and Learning Teaching Council, an Early Career Teaching Award from the Australian Psychological Society, and excellence in Teaching Awards and Citations from Griffith University. His current position is Deputy Head of School (Learning and Teaching) at Griffith University, Australia.
