Jana Hodacova in 1996 received a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague (supervisor Professor Ivan Stibor); in 1984, he received an M.S. degree in organic chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague (supervisor Prof. František Liška). Since 2007 he has been tutoring at the Department of Organic Chemistry, Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague; from 1994 to 2007, he served as a Research Scientist at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague; from 1991 to 1992 he served as a Research Assistant at the University of Oxford, UK (supervisor Prof. Paul D. Beer); from 1990 to 1991, he worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Birmingham, UK (supervisor Prof. Paul D. Beer); from 1984 to 1990, he served as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague. Since 2000, he has been a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry; since 1997, a Member of the American Chemical Society; since 1986, a Member of the Czech Chemical Society. His research interests are among organic synthesis, stereochemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and anion recognition.
