Franco Peppino Roperto
Dr. Franco Peppino ROPERTO graduated with first class honors. He is full professor of General Veterinary Pathology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Naples University Federico II. He taught Pathological Anatomy in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Naples and Bari Universities. He taught General Comparative Pathology in the post-graduate school of "Pharmacology and Toxicology" in Human Medicine Faculty at Naples University for 1991/1992. In 1997 he attended the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale University for a stage in Confocal Scanning Laser Microscopy. In 1998, he attended the Institute of Genetics and General Biology at University of Salzburg for studying cellular cytoskeleton by immunofluorescence techniques. He attended the Institute of Clinics Ultra-structural Microscopy of the S. Orsola in Bologna for a stage in Ultra-structural pathology. He was Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Naples University Federico II since 2001 to 2007 and Dean of the Veterinary Medicine Course at the "Magna Graecia" University of Catanzaro from 2001 to 2009. He was Head of the "Pathology and Environment" Interuniversity Center and Head of Department of Pathology and Animal Health. He is referee of the Oncogene, British Journal of Cancer, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Record, Veterinary Research Communication, Journal of Veterinary Science, BJU International, International Journal of Brazilian of Urology, Analytical and Quantitative Cytology and Histology. He is referee on behalf of the Comitato di Indirizzo per la Valutazione sulla Ricerca (CIVR). He was President of the Italian Society of Veterinary Pathology. He is member of the "Technical Committee of evaluation of research projects in bio-agriculture" of the ‘Ministero delle Politiche Agricole, Alimentari e Forestali” (MIPAAF).
