Jose Rubio Briones

J. Rubio graduated from the University of Valencia, Spain, in 1992. He completed his basic surgical training at Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelone, Spain, and entered urological training in 1994 at the Puigvert Foundation. In 1998, he obtained his degree in urology from the University Autonoma of Barcelone, and spent one year at the University of Newcastle, UK, within the ESUP programme. In 1999, he obtained the Ph.D. degree in medicine from the University of Valencia on renal cell carcinoma. During that time, he joined Instituto Valenciano of Oncology (IVO) as a staff member and consolidated his clinical and research interest in uro-oncology. In 2002, he performed a fellowship in urolaparoscopy at Institute Montsouri in Paris, France. In 2005, he was appointed as a Clinical Chief within the Urology Service of IVO.
