Matthew J. Mimiaga, S.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Mass, USA. He is an Assistant Professor of epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health. Mimiaga is an Affiliated Investigator, The Fenway Institute. He completed his postdoctoral training in behavioral medicine at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital and received his Doctorate from Harvard School of Public Health, majoring in psychiatric epidemiology, with minors in infectious/chronic disease epidemiology and biostatistics and was awarded the Harvard University Presidential Scholarship. He has coauthored more than 90 articles, chapters, and other publications on HIV/AIDS and related infectious disease topics. His main research interests include HIV/AIDS, sexual minority health, mental health and substance use disorders, psychiatric and infectious disease epidemiology, and global health.
