Giancarlo Pace
Giancarlo Pace got his M.S. degree in astronomy from the University of Padua, Padua, Italy, in 2001. Then he got his Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Trieste, Trieste, Italy, in 2005. He spent two years of his Ph.D. as a student at the European Southern Observatory, in Garching, Germany, where he worked with Luca Pasquini mainly on the chromospheric activity of solar-type stars in open clusters. He presently works as Postdoc at Centro de Astrofísica, Universidade do Porto, Vitória, Portugal, where he continues to study not only chromospheric activity, but also chemical abundances and mixing processes in open- cluster stars.
