Ubirajara Barroso

Ubirajara Barroso was born in Salvador, Brazil, in 1969. He received the Medical degree from Bahiana School of Medicine, Brazil, in 1992. He finished his residence program in urology in São Paulo, in 1997. In 1998, he was a Research Fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. In 2000, Barroso defended his thesis on vesicoureteral reflux at Federal University of São Paulo. Since 2003, he is an Adjunct Professor of pediatric urology at Bahiana School of Medicine. He is a pediatric urologist, mainly interested in voiding dysfunction, urinary tract infection, vesicoureteral reflux, and reconstructive urology (bladder augmentations, hypospadias, and ambiguous genitalia). He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Pediatric Urology.
