Rebecca C. Knibb works as a Chartered Health Psychologist and a Senior Lecturer at Aston University, Birmingham UK. She is a member of the Aston Research Centre for Child and Young People's Health and is a Trustee of the Anaphylaxis Campaign. Rebecca graduated from the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK, in 1999 with a Ph.D. degree which investigated reasons why people self-diagnose food allergy and intolerance. Since then she has conducted and published research on the psychosocial impact of food allergy and intolerance on children and adult sufferers and the immediate family. She also has expertise in psychometric scale development, specifically to measure allergy specific quality of life. Dr. Knibb also has an M.S.c degree in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy and specializes in CBT for allergic conditions.
