Qiankun Song was born in 1964. He received the B.S. degree in mathematics from Sichuan Normal University, Chengdu, China, the M.S. degree in applied mathematics from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, and the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, in 1986, 1996, and 2010, respectively. From 1986 to 2000, he worked at the Department of Mathematics, Sichuan University of Science and Engineering, Sichuan, China. From 2001 to 2006, he worked at the Department of Mathematics, Huzhou University, Zhejiang, China. Then, Song worked at the Department of Mathematics, Chongqing Jiaotong University, Chongqing, China, in 2006. Currently, Song serves as a Professor at Chongqing Jiaotong University. He is the author and coauthor of more than 50 journal papers and two edited books. Song is a Member of the Editorial Boards of Journal of Applied Mathematics and British Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science. In addition, Song is an Associate Editor of ISRN Applied Mathematics and a reviewer of Mathematical Reviews. His current research interests include stability theory of neural networks and chaos synchronization.
