Helena Janik received her M.S. degree in chemical technology from the Chemical Faculty, Technical University of Gdansk, Gdansk, Poland, in 1973. Since 2008, she has been a GUT Professor at the Polymer Technology Department, Chemical Faculty, Gdansk University of Technology, Gdansk, Poland. From 1996 to 2008, she was an Assistant Professor, Polymer Technology Department, Chemical Faculty, Gdansk University of Technology, Gdansk, Poland; from 1994 to 1996, an Assistant, Polymer Technology Department, Chemical Faculty, Technical University of Gdansk, Gdansk, Poland; from 1992 to 1994, a Research Worker, Chemical Technology Department, Twente Universiteit, Enschede, The Netherlands; from 1989 to 1992, a Research Worker, Polymer Technology Department, Chemical Faculty, Technical University of Gdansk, Gdansk, Poland; and from 1973 to 1989, a Younger Assistant, Polymer Technology Department, Chemical Faculty, Technical University of Gdansk, Gdansk, Poland. Her fields of interest include polymer engineering and science (phase separation, block copolymers, polymer blends, polyurethane chemistry and technology, polymer biodegradation, polymer electron microscopy).
