Rolf Farnsteiner

Rolf Farnsteiner received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany in 1983. He subsequently held postdoctoral positions at the University of California at Riverside, North Carolina State University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1990, he was appointed as an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he served as a Full Professor from 1996 to 2000. Until 2008, he was a Research Associate at the University of Bielefeld. Presently, Farnsteiner works as a Full Professor at the University of Kiel. Rolf Farnsteiner's research interests are within representation theory, with particular emphasis on geometric methods involving representation-theoretic support spaces.
