Wenzheng Zhang received the Ph.D. degree in materials engineering in 1992 from McMaster University, Canada. In 1997, she joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in Tsinghua as an Associate Professor and was promoted to a Professor in 1999. Her current research areas include experimental and theoretical study of microstructure developed from solid-state phase transformations with focus on crystallography and interphase boundaries; microstructure control and design for engineering metallic materials. She (co-) authored over 80 peer-reviewed papers, and she has given a number of invited and contributed presentations on the related topics.
