Dario Voinovich was graduated from University of Trieste in Trieste, Italy, from 1987 to 1988. From 1988 to 1991 Voinovich served as Ph.D. student in the Faculty of Commodity Sciences, Poznan University of Economics in Poznan, Poland, and was awarded the Ph.D. degree in September 1992. In 1990, Voinovich won the competition for a place of researcher for the scientific disciplinary group 95 (first discipline: Pharmaceutical Applied Chemistry) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Trieste in Trieste, Italy, and has been confirmed as an Official Researcher in 1993. He was specialized in "experimental research methodology" in 1995 at the French University of Aix en Provence, France. In 2001, he obtained the title of an Associate Professor for the CHIM/09 disciplinary sector. He was called then for this position by the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Trieste in Trieste, Italy, in 2002. His scientific research is currently focused on innovative modified drug release, oral solid dosage forms such as solid dispersions, mechanochemically activated systems, microspheres, pellets, granulates, extrudates, tablets, and lozenges. These studies are carried out by employing appropriate experimental designs and including physicochemical and technological characterizations, in vitro and in vivo studies, and mathematical modelling of the drug release.
