Zhong-hua Han received the Ph.D. degree in fluid dynamics in 2007 from Northwestern Polytechnical University of China, Shaanxi, China. He moved to Germany in 2007 and worked as a Research Scientist at DLR Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology. He moved back to China in 2010 and is working as an Associate Professor at School of Aeronautics of Northwestern Polytechnical University. His main research interest is about efficient surrogate modeling and surrogate-based optimization algorithms as well as application to aerodynamic optimization, such as airfoil and wing design, high-lift system design, and wind-turbine aerodynamic design.
