Kathryn Como-Sabetti is a Senior Epidemiologist in the Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Prevention, and Control Section at the Minnesota Department of Health, Minn, USA. Como-Sabetti received her B.S. degree in nutrition science from North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, USA and a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota, Minn, USA. During her 10 years at the Minnesota Department of Health she has worked in a number of different project areas including vaccine-preventable disease surveillance and with the Emerging Infections Program. Her current activities include research on community-associated methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus, improving infectious disease surveillance systems, and pandemic influenza planning in the areas of isolation and quarantine and community mitigation during a pandemic. Como-Sabetti is also an epidemiologist in the Infectious Disease and Infection Control Department of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.
