Lean Yu received his Ph.D. degree from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he is currently working as an Associate Professor. He was a Research Fellow at the Department of Management Sciences, City University of Hong Kong. Additionally, He published more than 40 SCI papers in journals including IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, Computers and Operations Research, International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making, and the International Journal of Knowledge and Systems Sciences. He served as one of the Guest Editors of a special issue on risk management of International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making (SCI Journal). Moreover, he held the position of a Cochair of The First International Workshop on Computational Methods in Energy Economics (CMEE2007) at ICCS2007, The 2007 Special Session on Bioinspired Business Intelligence (BI-BI 2007) at BIC-TA2007 and the Second International Workshop on Computational Methods in Energy Economics (CMEE 2008) at ICeRM2008. Now, he serves also as a Program Cochair of The 2008 International Conference on e-Risk Management (ICeRM2008) and The 2008 International Conference on Business Intelligence and Financial Engineering (BIFE2008). His research interests include business intelligence, artificial neural networks, evolutionary computation, decision support systems, and financial forecasting.
