Katsutoshi Nakayama

Katsutoshi Nakayama received both the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan in 1988 and 1995, respectively. In 2004, Nakayama was assigned as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geriatric and Respiratory Medicine, Tohoku University School of Medicine, Sendai, Japan. In 2007,he held the post of a Lecturer in the Division of Respiratory Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, The Jikei University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan. Currently, he works as an Associate Professor, Division of Respiratory Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, The Jikei University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan. Nakayama received the RMCB Research award in 1998, the KANAE Research Foundation award in 1999, the American Society of Gene Therapy: Travel Award in 2004, and the Peumo Forum Conference award in 2008. His fields of interest include respiratory medicine (esp. COPD), geriatric medicine, molecular biology, and genetic medicine.
