Fumihiko Sugino

Okayama Institute for Quantum Physics, Japan

Fumihiko Sugino was born in Toyama, Japan, in 1966. He received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Tokyo in 1995. From 1996 to 2000, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Theory Division, Institute of Particle and Nuclear Studies, High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK), Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan. From 2000 to 2002 and from 2002 to 2003, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at CEA/Saclay in France and at Seoul National University in South Korea, respectively. Since 2003 he has been a Principal Investigator at the Okayama Institute for Quantum Physics, Okayama City, Japan. In his research carrier, he has mainly studied formal aspects of quantum field theory and string theory. Among them, Sugino's particular interest has been attributed to matrix model formulation of quantum gravity and string theory as well as in nonperturbative formulation of supersymmetric gauge theories based on conventional lattice approach.
