Abdullah Kaygusuz

Abdullah Kaygusuz, Assistant Professor of Geology Abdullah Kaygusuz was born in Polatli (Ankara, Turkey) in 1967. He completed his elementary school education in Caykara (Trabzon-Turkey) and his secondary education in Arakli (Trabzon-Turkey). Mr. Kaygusuz has got a bachelor degree in Geological Engineering in 1989 from Karadeniz Technical University, Trabzon, Turkey. He also earned his Master of Science (Msc) degree in 1992 and received his PhD in geological science in 2000 from the same University. Mr. Kaygusuz worked as a research assistant at Geological Engineering Department of Karadeniz Technical University between 1993 and 2000. Then he worked and taught courses of Geological Engineering Department of Gumushane Engineering Faculty as Assistant Professor from 2000 till 2012. Currently Mr. Kaygusuz teaches petrography, mineral chemistry and petrology at Geological Engineering Department of Engineering Faculty in Gumushane University. His areas of expertise and research include granite petrology. He has completed TUBITAK (Turkish National Science Foundation), BAP (Scientific Research Project) and DPT (Government Planning Institution Project) projects so far and been serving as a project manager and a researcher of these projects. Mr. Kaygusuz is married to Cigdem Kaygusuz and has two children.
