Alberto Angioni was born in Cagliari, Italy, in 1966. He received a degree in chemistry and pharmaceutical technologies in 1991 and the Ph.D. degree in the chemistry of drugs in 1997 from the University of Cagliari. In 1999, he became an Associate Professor in food chemistry, and currently, he serves as a Professor of food chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy. His research focus mainly on natural and synthetic pesticide development and residue analysis in field and in model systems. Moreover, he is interested in food quality analysis and food characterization. He is a Member of the Italian group of pesticide residues (GRIFA) and a Member of the office of president of the Mediterranean Group of Pesticide Research (MGPR). He serves as a Scientific Manager of the national centre for agro-food technologies at the University of Cagliari.
