Rabin Bissessur received his B.S. (honors) degree in chemistry from the University of Manitoba (1987), his M.S. degree in organometallic chemistry from the University of Rochester (1989), and Ph.D. degree in materials chemistry from Michigan state University (1994). He pursued Postdoctoral Fellowships at Northwestern University (1994–1996) and Laval University (1997–1998). He has been at the University of Prince Edward Island since 1999, where he is currently a Professor of chemistry. His research interests include the development of nanocomposites for lithium rechargeable batteries and carbon capture.
