Matteo Picozzi

Matteo Picozzi received his Ph.D. degree in geophysics from the University of Siena, Italy, in 2005. Since 2007, Picozzi is a Researcher at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, Section 2.1 Earthquake Risk and Early Warning. He participated in the international seismic early warning projects PROGRESS (Georisiken im Globalen Wandel), EDIM (Earthquake Disaster Information system for the Marmara Region), and SAFER (Seismic eArly warning For Europe). His research interests are seismic early warning, site effects and earthquake microzonation, strong motion data analysis, array seismology, structural health monitoring, and wireless communication and its application in seismology and earthquake engineering.
