M'hamed Bentourkia

M'hamed Bentourkia is a physicist and a Professor at the Department of Nuclear Medicine and Radiobiology, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Université de Sherbrooke, QC, Canada. He is also the Director of Radiation Sciences and Biomedical Imaging program in the same department. He received a B.S. degree in physics at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, QC, Canada, an M.S. degree in applied nuclear physics at Université de Montréal, Canada, and a Ph.D. degree in radiobiology at Université de Sherbrooke, Canada. The main research interests are in the field of PET imaging modality. Actual domains of research are image reconstruction, image corrections, filtering and enhancement, kinetic modeling, Monté Carlo simulations, and software development for image analysis. He is a peer-reviewing member of several international journals and a member of several scientific associations and committees.
