Dominique Bourget

Dominique Bourget obtained her Medical degree at the University of Montreal and completed her specialty training in psychiatry at the University of Ottawa. She is an Associate Professor of psychiatry at the University of Ottawa. She works as a Staff Psychiatrist with the Forensic Program and Sexual Behaviours Clinic and the Schizophrenia Program at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. She is a Coroner in the province of Quebec and is also a Member of the Ontario Review Board and the Consent and Capacity Review Board. Bourget was a Past President of the Canadian Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and of the Forensic Section at the CPA. She was nominated a distinguished APA Fellow in 2002 and a CPA Fellow in 2007. She has authored many articles, and she presented both nationally and abroad on a variety of topics relevant to criminal and civil forensic psychiatry.
