Narcisa C. Apreutesei currently is a full-time Professor of mathematics at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, Iasi, Romania. She received her Ph.D. degree from the A. I. Cuza University of Iasi, Iasi, Romania, with a thesis in the field of abstract second order evolution equations of monotone type. Her scientific interests include evolution equations of monotone type in Hilbert spaces (and the discrete case); infinite dimensional difference operators in Banach spaces: normal solvability, the Fredholm property, properness, topological degree, solvability conditions, and exponential behavior; travelling wave solutions for integrodifferential equations from population dynamics in unbounded domains; and optimal control problems for parabolic systems arising in population dynamics. Apreutesei has published over 70 papers in international peer-reviewed journals like Nonlinear Analysis, Theory, Methods, and Application and Nonlinear Analysis: Real World Application. She is the Editor in Chief of the journal Bulletin of the Polytechnic Institute of Iasi and a Member of the Editorial Board of the journals Abstract and Applied Analysis, Journal of Scientific Research and Reports, Journal of Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, International Journal of Pure Mathematics, Archimedes Journal of Mathematics, and Antarctica Journal of Mathematics.
