Yu Wang received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in computer science from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1998 and 2000, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Ill, USA, in 2004. Wang serves as an Associate Professor of computer science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte, NC, USA. His research interests include ad hoc and sensor wireless networks, mobile computing, complex networks, and algorithm design. Wang published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He served as Program Chair, Publicity Chair, and Program Committee Member for several international conferences including IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE IPCCC, IEEE GLOBECOM, and IEEE MASS. He is currently serving as Editorial Board Member for nine international journals including IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS). He is a recipient of the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards from Oak Ridge Associated Universities in 2006 and a recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Research Award from College of Computing and Informatics at UNC Charlotte in 2008. Wang is also a Senior Member of the ACM, IEEE, and IEEE Communications Society.
