Ashraf Tahat

Ashraf Tahat serves as the Chairman of the Communications Engineering Department at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Amman, Jordan. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago, Ill, USA, in 1992, 1993, and 2002, respectively. He worked at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (ECE), IIT, as a Research Associate and an Instructor. In 1997, he joined Lucent Technologies, Inc. (AT&T) as a Research Engineer to assist in the development of DSP-based linecode for ADSL modems. From 1998 to 2000, he was with the Personal Communications Division at 3Com Corporation. Since 2004, he has been with the Communications Engineering Department at Princess Sumaya University for Technology and is an Associate Professor.
