Sri Rama K Yellela
Sri Rama K Yellela received his Ph.D. degree from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, in 1993. He obtained his B.S. degree of pharmaceutical sciences and M.S. degree of pharmaceutical technology from the same university in 1981 and 1984, respectively. He has 28 years of teaching/research experience in pharmaceutics/drug delivery. Before joining US Food and Drug Administration in January 2011, he served as an Assistant/Associate Professor of pharmaceutics for about 25 years in Nova Southeastern University (USA), Kuwait University (Kuwait), and Andhra University (India). His research interests include the development of colon-specific drug delivery systems, transdermal therapeutic systems, oral controlled release dosage forms, and pharmaceutical nanotechnologies. He reviewed several research grants, mentored Ph.D. degree students, and is a Reviewer of professional journals like Journal of Controlled Release, International Journal of Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Research. Currently, he is also serving as Editorial Board Member of Pharmaceutical Development and Technology.
