Colette Rolland, presently, is a Professor (exceptional class) in computer science at the Université Paris1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Rolland is the Head of the Centre de Recherche en Informatique (CRI), Université Paris1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Rolland's honorary positions are Doctor Honoris Causa, University of Geneva, Switzerland and Visiting Professor, Business Scholl, University Loughborough, UK. Rolland obtained the Ph.D. degree from Université de Nancy in 1966 in sciences (applied Mathematics) and the Docteur d’Etat degree from the Université de Nancy in 1971 in sciences (applied mathematics). Rolland is a Professor in informatics, Université de Nancy, 1973 and a Professor in informatics, Université Paris1 Panthéon Sorbonne, 1979. Rolland's research interests are software engineering, system engineering, conceptual modeling, requirements engineering, methodologies and CASE tools, method engineering and CAME tools, system evolution, business process modeling, and change management, strategic alignment. Rolland received several awards including the French Palmes Académiques, 1981, IFIP Service Award, 1988, Prix de la Fondation FRANQUI (Belgique), 1991, IFIP Silver Core, 1992, and Prix Européen des systèmes d’information, 2002. Rolland is a Doctor Honoris Causa, University of Geneva, 2007 and a Visiting Professor, Business Scholl, University Loughborough. Rolland's academic involvements include 102 Ph.D. theses supervised, 320 reviewed papers in journals and conferences, an editor of about 25 conference proceedings, a Member of the board of 10 international journals, 55 invited talks in conferences, participation in 12 European projects, and a Leader of 19 research projects in France.
