Thien Phap Nguyen
Thien Phap Nguyen studied at Nantes, France, where he graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Diploma in 1973. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Nantes in 1977 and his Doctorat d'Etat degree in physics in 1987. He has worked on electrical conduction in silicon oxides and on high TC superconductors. In 1988, he joined the Institute of Materials Jean Rouxel (IMN) and started studying devices fabricated with conjugated polymers. Scientific interests include organic materials, polymer-based nanocomposites, organic electronic devices, electrical transport and defects, optical properties, and interface analysis. He (co)authored more than 160 scientific publications, and at the present time, he serves as a Professor of Physics at the University of Nantes, France.
